The latest entry into the Spy Kids franchise is promising to take on a whole new dimension with Aromascope, according to Dimension Films. The film will be titled Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, and will introduce the breakthrough technology on the big screen. So what is this supposed 4D technology? Scent, as moviegoers will have eight special occasions throughout the film to interact via smell. Let’s hope nobody farts in the picture, which opens on August 19, 2011.
With each individual admission ticket, kids and parents will also receive an Aromascope card that has the eight numbers emblazed upon it. As the numbers flash on the movie screen, the audience will rub the corresponding number on their card and take a whiff to smell the action on the screen. 3D is nothing new to the Spy Kids franchise, with the third entry of the series, Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, providing the 3D glasses long before they were once again the cool thing to do.
“Families are going to love the interactivity of this new addition to the movie going experience. And best of all, you won’t have to pay extra for 4D Aromascope, which will be provided to every theater whether it be 2D or 3D,” said Robert Rodriguez.
